Specifications include, but are not limited to: Weekly: 1. Exterior and interior cleaning of the aquarium. All exterior and interior surfaces shall be cleaned with appropriate tools to prevent damage to the acrylic and other structures. Interior cleaning shall include all surfaces (e.g., bottom substrate, any fabricated material, trees etc.) 2. Maintain the tank to assure the aquatic environment remains healthy and life sustainable without disturbing the ecosystem of the fish habitat. 3. Manually test tank water quality for the vital parameters and provide mandatory treatment for the vital parameters to maintain tank stability. Monitor additional parameters to maintain healthy fish and living conditions. 4. Check the filtration and plumbing system for proper operation of all components. Maintain filtration system as needed, cleaning or replacing any filtration equipment as necessary. Top off aquarium to appropriate level. 5. Monitor behavior and appearance of fish for any potential problems. Abnormalities should be noted and reported to staff. 6. Feed the fish with food necessary to maintain a healthy diet for thriving fish life and a natural environment. 7. Removal of any deceased fish. Vendor will coordinate with staff for disposal and note in maintenance log. 8. Weekly Report: Vendor will provide written summary of services or maintenance performed in the maintenance log (including but not limited to tank conditions, animal health) that will be provided by the project manager upon award. 9. Water Changes shall occur monthly, or as necessary.
