The Naval Ordnance Test Unit (NOTU) –is issuing a combined synopsis/solicitation Notice for the rust mitigation of three anchors, two salutation cannons and the tranfer of those cannon from old trailer to a new one. This requirement is located at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Cape Canaveral, FL. This procurement is set-aside for small business vendors. The applicable NAICS codes is 238990 with a Small Business Size Standard of $19 Million. This effort is going to be a FIRM FIXED PRICE.
The contractor shall provide the tools, labor, materials and equipment required to complete the following scope of work:
Anchors
1) Do a walk thru with client.
2) Erect a containment tent around Anchor jobsites 1, 2 and 3 as required for sand blasting. When sandblasting and mitigation process complete, containment tent will be broken down and debris will be discarded as required by CCSFS/NOTU environmental requirements.
3) Sandblast Anchor 1, 2 and 3 to remove corrosion and paint.
4) Remove the 2 compromised support bars on Anchor 1.
5) Weld in 2 new support bars on Anchor 1.
6) Complete corrosion mitigation process on Anchor 1, 2 and 3.
7) Apply 2 coats of rust resistant paint to Anchor 1, 2 coats of rust resistant paint to Anchor 2, and 2 coats of rust resistant paint to Anchor 3.
8) Apply 2 finish coats of clear paint to Anchor 1, 2 and 3.
9) Demobilize equipment and clean jobsite area of any debris and trash around Anchor 1, 2 and 3.
40MM Saluting Battery Cannons
1) Removal of two of three 40MM saluting battery cannons from existing trailer and remount cannons to 20-feet Carry-On trailer while preserving all reusable hardware applicable
2) Build a mounting system to securely affix two saluting battery cannons to new 20ft trailer securely ensuring firing force evenly distributed to prevent stress damage and instability.
3) Fabricate and install brackets, mounts, or other hardware as needed to securely mount both cannons to the flatbed trailer using heavy duty materials rated for shock load.
4) Provide rust mitigation to both cannons.
5) Paint both cannons with rust-resistant black coating.
6) Ensure mounting solution allows for safe transportation and ceremonial use of saluting cannons.
NOTE: No A/E design of the mounting bracket is required.
