2.1 The Contractor will be responsible for providing continuous monitoring of fire alarm systems, including immediate response procedures and reporting services. 2.2 The Contractor must coordinate and administer off-site monitoring of the District’s alarm and life safety systems through a Listed Central Monitoring Station. • A “Listed Central Monitoring Station” is a central station that has been evaluated and certified by UL Solutions/Underwriters Laboratories (UL) to meet specific standards for monitoring alarm systems. This certification ensures the station's ability to handle alarm signals, dispatch emergency services, and maintain a high level of security and reliability. • Contractor shall notify the District within ten (10) days of losing the Listed Central Monitoring Station classification. 2.3 Monitoring services shall be provided to the District’s facilities 365 days per year, twenty-four (24) hours per day, and seven (7) days per week. 2.4 The Contractor must ensure that daily system tests are conducted as part of the fire monitoring service to verify the operational status of the communication path. The system must provide notification of all lowpriority signals via text message or email. 2.5 The Contractor shall implement prompt response and escalation procedures in the event of alarms or system failures. All monitoring services provided must be in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (“NFPA”) NFPA 72, 2022 edition or later and local authorities. 2.6 Contracted service shall be provided pursuant to the NFPA and Florida Fire Prevention Code Requirements 69A-48 of the Florida Administrative Code. 2.7 Real-time notification shall be provided in the event of alarm activation. • Contractor shall immediately retransmit the alarm to the appropriate emergency service communication center. • In addition, the Contractor shall immediately notify the District designated personnel upon notification of an alarm.
