The approximate 2500-acre treatment area is within Picayune Strand State Forest (Appendix I - Map), located east of Naples, Florida, and consists of mixed natural plant communities that have been invaded by invasive Australian melaleuca trees. ArcGIS shapefiles depicting the treatment area boundaries will be emailed to the contractor prior to the start of treatment work, and a pretreatment meeting with the FFS Project Manager will be scheduled with the contractor to answer any specific site questions prior to the commencement of work. Nearby areas of interest/concern for aerial work are: • Interstate 75 – north of project • Naples residential areas – west of project • Private organic farm – immediately northwest of landing zone/staging area • Naples Airport – west of project
