SCOPE OF WORK The work to be performed by the successful quoter consists of furnishing all labor, supervision, tools, supplies and equipment necessary to provide upholstery services for Palm Beach County vehicles, as specified herein. Upholstery services shall include but are not limited to the removal and replacement of headliners, seat material and miscellaneous covers. Such items may include covers for the hose bed, generators, pumps, ladders, air boats, self-contained breathing apparatus (SCBA) masks and auxiliary engines. The material for all covers and bags shall be sturdy, coated (waterproof) canvas to ensure items remain dry and protected. Upholstery services shall include, but are not limited to small, mid-size and full-size cars; station wagons; mini vans; standard, king, crew cab, ½ ton, ¾ ton, 1 ton and 15,000 GVW trucks; buses and custom-built fire trucks with front and rear compartments. Accessories (i.e. grommets, drawstrings, pull strings, zippers, buttons, etc.) shall be included in the cost of the materials. The contract shall not allow for the purchase of stand-alone materials. Materials are only authorized to be purchased under the contract as part of a service. The upholstery material provided shall meet or exceed O.E.M. quality. All materials and services provided shall meet or exceed all industry and safety standards. Services shall be completed in a professional manner, meeting all terms, conditions and specifications listed herein, and in accordance with all applicable city, state and federal laws and codes. COUNTY’S RESPONSIBILITIES The County shall: 1. Order on an as needed basis 2. Deliver and pick up vehicles from/to successful quoter’s plant or business. SUCCESSFUL QUOTER’S RESPONSIBILITIES The successful quoter shall: 1. Be responsible for the coordination of repairs with the County representative. 2. Supply a written estimate for labor and material to the County representative prior to the start of any work 3. Successful quoter’s facility shall provide secure storage for vehicle(s) (i.e.fenced yard, bays &/or large warehouse). 4. Have adequate facilities with sufficient upholstery tools and equipment for all types of upholstery repairs, 5. Be bound by all terms, conditions, requirements and specifications of this solicitation.
