Task 1 – Survey of Project limits: Specific Purpose Corridor Survey including the following items: • Locate above ground improvements. • Cross sections every 50 feet. • Establish right-of-way limits. • Collect existing storm and sanitary inverts. Task 2 - Geotechnical Services: Provide geotechnical engineering and pavement coring services. • Conduct a visual site reconnaissance of the project site and coordinate utility clearance via Sunshine State One Call of Florida. • Perform maintenance of traffic services in accordance with the FDOT Design Manual. • Perform 4-inch pavement core borings within the existing roadway section. Perform a hand auger boring to a depth of 5-feet below the bottom of the base at each pavement core and document pavement, base and sub-base conditions. At each core location, Consultant will record pavement/base layer thickness, asphalt types, subgrade material and depth, measure rut/crack depths, measure cross slope, and provide pavement condition assessments. The core holes will be filled and asphalt patched upon completion of the pavement core and auger boring. • Identify groundwater table levels at the boring locations. Estimate the seasonal high groundwater table levels. • Conduct laboratory testing on soils obtained from the borings. • Visually classify and stratify all recovered soil samples in the laboratory using the AASHTO classification system. • Prepare a pavement date report that summarizes the course of study pursued, the field and laboratory data generated, and the subsurface conditions encountered. Task 3 Design Services: Provide design services and construction plan preparation for improvements along the corridor to incorporate “complete street” improvements that will reconfigure the existing roadway typical section to accommodate sidewalks, parking, landscaping, and lighting per the approved concept plan. • Development of construction plans, specifications, and opinion of probable cost in accordance with the current Florida Greenbook. • Preparation of Proprietary Items Request letter, if applicable. • Respond to reviewer comments. • Assistance with required grant documentation. • Assistance with utility clearance letters. • New pedestrian-scale light fixtures shall be proposed to illuminate the sidewalk area. • Street furniture selections shall be made in coordination with the existing elements of the Downtown area...
