All correspondence must be made through the Vendor Portal. Specifications include, but are not limited to: The 73rd Street Bridge is located between Dickens avenue and Wayne avenue within the Biscayne Point neighborhood. According to the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) Bridge Inspection Reports from April 30, 2016, to April 7, 2020, this bridge has consistently received a sufficiency rating of 61. Since the rating is below FDOT recommended minimum threshold of 70, improvements are proposed to bring the bridge into compliance. This project will include enhancements to the bridge's substructure and superstructure. Elements of the bridge affected by the repairs are identified in the plans and specifications found in Appendix G. Some of the main construction activities include concrete repairs (cracks, spalls, etc.), expansion joint replacement, vegetation removal, traffic railing cleaning and recoating, exposed rebar removal, and pile jacket installation. Regulatory agencies’ permits and exemptions acquired: Miami-Dade County DRER: Class I Construction Permit; US Army Corps of Engineers: No permit required correspondence; CMB Building Department: No permit required letter; FDEP: No exemption required correspondence; and SFWMD: ERP Exemption Letter. Approvals to be obtained by Contractor: US Coast Guard: Construction Navigation Clearance, and Miami-Dade County DRER: Class I Construction Permit – Notice of Commencement of Construction.
