Sources Sought Notice 1. GENERAL:Â The James A. Haley Veterans Hospital, located at 13000 Bruce B. Downs Blvd, Tampa, Florida 33612, is seeking sources for the procurement of one (1) surgical microscope for the Otolaryngology clinic. 2. BACKGROUND:Â Currently, the Otolaryngology and Neurosurgical sections share a single surgical microscope, which has led to scheduling conflicts and delays, causing some Veterans to be referred to community care providers due to prolonged wait times. 3. PURPOSE:Â The objective is to procure a surgical microscope that will support the surgical needs of the Otolaryngology/Microvascular reconstructive surgeries, ensuring operational backup when the primary microscope is unavailable. 4. SCOPE:Â This sources sought notice invites responses from vendors capable of providing a surgical microscope that either meets or exceeds the specified standards and characteristics. 5. PHYSICAL CHARACTERISTICS:Â The required deliverables include: One (1) surgical microscope system One (1) 2x Widefield Push-in Eyepieces 12.5x One (1) Co-observation Face-to-face with foldable tube and 2x eyepieces One (1) Infrared 800 Module One (1) Resolution Enhancer, adapter dock, and storage solution One (1) 4K Camera 2160P, HDMI Cable, HD-SDI cable (10m) One (1) Monitor cover (24" monitor) One (1) HFC Foot control panel All required pre-site preparation, installation, and commissioning labor 6. FUNCTIONAL AND PERFORMANCE CHARACTERISTICS: Advanced Visualization System with extended optical capabilities. Depth+ mode for higher resolution in the outer area of the current focal point. Resolution Enhancer for additional clarity at the submillimeter level including adapter dock and storage solution. Effortless handling supporting the surgeon s movements. Modern and intuitive GUI on a high-definition touch screen. Foldable tube feature. 7. SOFTWARE:Â There is no additional software requirement for this equipment. 8. TRAINING:Â The Contractor will provide training and technical support for the hardware's use. 9. WARRANTY OF EQUIPMENT:Â A warranty coverage for one (1) year from the acceptance of the completed systems is required. 10. DELIVERY SCHEDULE:Â All items must be delivered and installed within 14 weeks after receipt of order (ARO). 11. PLACE OF DELIVERY:Â To be determined (TBD).
