GENERAL: C.W. Bill Young Veterans Medical Center and LEE County have a requirement for Emergency Evacuation Devices. The ALBLRG02 AlbacMat Rescue Mat Size Large Self-storing, NAME BRAND OR EQUAL. Contractor shall provide all tools, equipment, labor, supervision, transportation, and materials to provide the required Emergency Evacuation Devices for Bay Pines and Lee County facilities.
SCOPE OF WORK: The Emergency Evacuation Devices are used to assist and evacuate patients/visitors, who cannot ambulate, down the hallways and stair wells. The Evacuation Rescue Mat is a no lift device that will transfer the person from a hospital bed, chair, or the floor keeping them flat, secure, and safe. It will allow them to be transferred down a stair well in an emergent situation. This design allows one person to safely transfer another. It provides a way to evacuate patients safely and efficiently who cannot walk down the stairs. Emergency Evacuation Equipment Needs Analysis and Training and education of staff needs to be included.
TENICAL REQUIREMENTS: Large Size Emergency Evacuation Sled specifications required: Sled/Mat must be a no lift device made of heat resistant material and designed to minimize drag coefficient over a wide range of flooring (concrete, tile, carpet, glass, gravel, dirt/mud debris filled hallways) for horizontal and vertical emergency evacuation … no wheels which will impede movement through debris.
