The Santa Rosa County School District is soliciting proposals from qualified fencing contractors to furnish and install perimeter fencing in the aesthetic of aluminum decorative fence and/or matching color powder coated chain link fence at the Milton High School campus, 5445 Stewart Street, Milton, FL 32570. Fencing will only be installed where fence does not already exist. The School District is requesting three (3) separate proposals.

This is for a one-time project. The projected material delivery date and project start date shall be included in the business proposal.

Mandatory Pre-proposal Conference – Detailed information will be discussed at a pre-proposal conference to be held at 10:00 AM CT, December 13, 2022, at the Santa Rosa County School Board Administrative Support Complex, Maintenance Building #2, 6544 Firehouse Road, Milton, FL 32570, and virtually through Microsoft Teams.

The link to the Teams meeting is provided in the solicitation document.

Only those attending the conference in person or virtually will be allowed to submit a proposal. The Santa Rosa County School Board will not guarantee a contractor’s ability to connect to this meeting virtually nor will exceptions be granted. The first five (5) minutes of the conference will be for distribution of documents and for contractors to sign in. Contractors must arrive on time to be allowed to participate in the conference. Those arriving after the five (5) minute sign in period will not be allowed to participate or submit a proposal.

Event Note

A mandatory onsite visit at Milton High School (MHS) will follow the pre-proposal conference for those in attendance at the conference in-person. Contractors should come prepared to take measurements and make notations to assist with preparation of proposals.

Additional mandatory site visits for those Contractors attending the pre-proposal conference virtually or who wish to re-visit the site can be scheduled during the week of December 13-16, 2022. Contractors will need to schedule site visits with the Purchasing Agent who will arrange a mutually convenient time with the School District Facilities Supervisor or designee. No site visits will be authorized after these dates. Contractors are encouraged to take measurements and make notations to assist with preparation of proposals.

All contractors will be held liable to have visited the work site(s) and familiarize themselves with the nature of the work and conditions under which the work will be performed. No extras will be allowed for failure to inspect or to account for work conditions.
