RFP-OP2013-01 - Mobile Soda Blasting Technology, Associated Equipment and Services

Summary of Specifications:
Okaloosa Gas District is seeking proposals for a fully turnkey mobile soda blasting system including a high output high pressure air compressor driven by a diesel motor with an output of 210 CFM at 150 p.s.i., two coolers to remove moisture, a centrifugal moisture separator, with a trailer delivering an integrated system. The capability to provide respirator air from the same equipment must be provided. Self-cleaning venturi must be integrated into the system to reduce maintenance. Metering technology must be integrated into the system to enable monitoring of blasting medium flow. Training and ongoing technical support must be proposed along with the equipment. Output from the compressor should enable operation of two soda blasting operations at once. The vendor must establish and implement a training program to teach the skills and knowledge necessary to effectively use the technology being proposed. The vendor will also be required to provide ongoing technical support as needed. The soda blasting technology will be used for removing corrosion and paint off natural gas distribution and transmission line assets across the District’s service territory in Northwest Florida.
