Description

Hernando County, Florida is located between Tampa and Gainesville, on the West Coast of Florida. Hernando County Board of County Commissioners is soliciting competitive responses from interested parties to operate and maintain a Contractor Operated Parts Store (COPARS). The County intends to outsource the supply and distribution of vehicle and equipment parts and services required to support the Fleet Operations & Maintenance Services (Fleet Management) County vehicles which includes supporting Fire/Rescue Maintenance, Utilities, Code Enforcement, Parks and Recreation, Animal Services and, but not limited to, Hernando County Transit “TheBus” Transportation Services (a Planning and Zoning Department). The County currently maintains and inventories for an estimated 450 vehicles and 120 pieces of equipment. The Planning and Zoning Department Operations related to “TheBus” utilize grant funding to support the maintenance operations through Fleet Management for its transit vehicles to this RFP for grant compliance and incurs additional compliance terms and conditions to this RFP document.
