Liquid aluminum sulfate is needed for chemical treatment of wastewater at the Central Water Reclamation Facility, the Bayou Marcus Water Reclamation Facility, and the Pensacola Beach Water Reclamation Facility.
General Description: Aqueous solution: 48.5% dry AL2 (SO4)3 Aluminum Sulfate – practically free of insoluble matter. Compositions – 8.3% AL203 Aluminum Oxide + 0.1% the baume’ of this solution at 60 degrees F being 36.5 degrees + 0.5. No free acid. Iron as FE no greater than 50 PPM.
It is anticipated that the Emerald Coast Utilities Authority will require approximately 1890 dry tons of liquid alum in approximately 4500-gallon loads. However, these quantities may vary. The price quoted shall be per ton, dry weight, based on the foregoing annual usage:

The supplier shall monitor and maintain aluminum tank levels and provide a company owned delivery truck and driver with an adequate unloading device and shall meet the following delivery requirements:
The supplier shall provide the hoses and means for filling the storage tank. The price quotation shall include all charges associated with the delivery including transportation, pumping and other charges that might relate to delivery. The delivery vehicle shall be capable of blowing the residual product in the hoses into the tank with low pressure or by pumping. The delivery provider shall provide and wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) during loading/connecting operations. Any spills of product shall be immediately addressed and ECUA staff must be promptly notified and the site neutralized or cleaned by the chemical provider.
Bayou Marcus WRF and the Pensacola Beach WRF will accept deliveries between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, except ECUA recognized holidays. The Bayou Marcus WRF storage tank capacity is 12,000 gallons, and are fitted with a 2” female quick-connect fitting. The Pensacola Beach Wastewater Treatment Plant alum tank capacity consists of dual 3,900 gallon tanks (total 7,800 gallons) with 2” female quick connect fittings. The supplier shall provide the hoses and means for filling the storage tank. The Central Water Reclamation Facility will accept deliveries anytime during the day. The storage tank capacity is 12,000 gallons with a 2” female quick connect fitting. The supplier shall provide the hoses and means for filling the storage tank.
The supplier shall deliver the required amounts within 96 hours of receipt of order. Failure to meet delivery schedules shall be just cause to terminate the contract. If the failure to make a delivery on schedule results in a regulatory violation, the supplier shall be liable for any expense, loss or damage directly associated with the failure to deliver on schedule.
