Summary of Specifications:
INVITATION TO BID (ITB) No. 260-2013TC MIAMI BEACH GOLF COURSE DRAINAGE REMEDIATION Miami Beach, Florida
Sealed bids will be received by the City of Miami Beach Procurement Division, 3rd Floor, 1700 Convention Center Drive, Miami Beach, Florida 33139, until 3:00 p.m. on the 11th day of June, 2013, for the drainage remediation at the Miami Beach Golf Club.
Scope of Work: The work consists of regrading the asphalt pavement currently used for staging golf carts, demolish and replace the concrete walkway and pavement to new elevations, install new concrete curbs, construct a water retention pond, remove and reinstall the existing irrigation system, and plant new sod and landscaping.
Minimum Requirements: Bidders must be licensed as a general contractor in the State of Florida with approximately five (5) years of experience and completed at least three (3) projects of similar size or scope in the past five (5) years approximately.
IN ORDER TO BE DEEMED RESPONSIVE, BIDDERS MUST MEET THE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH HEREIN. NON-RESPONSIVE BIDS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED FROM CONSIDERATION.
Estimated Cost: The estimated cost for this project is approximately $115,000.
At the time, date, and place noted, bids will be publicly opened. Any bids received after time and date specified will be returned to the bidder unopened. The responsibility for submitting a bid before the stated time and date is solely and strictly the responsibility of the bidder. The City is not responsible for delays caused by mail, courier service (including U.S. Mail), or any other occurrence.
A Pre-Bid Conference is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. on May 28, 2013, in the City Manager’s large conference room located at 1700 Convention Center Drive on the 4th floor.
Attendance (in person or via telephone) to this Pre-Bid submission meeting is strongly encouraged and recommended but is not mandatory.

Plans and Specifications for this project shall be available in digital format on CDs. Please call Theo Carrasco at 305.673.7000 ext. 6230, or e-mail theocarrasco@miamibeachfl.gov to secure a CD set of the Plans and Specifications. The cost for these CDs is $20. One may purchase a CD through the Finance Cashier located on the 1st Floor in City Hall. Please make reference of the Bid number (ITB 260-2013TC) and project name (Miami Beach Golf Course Drainage Remediation) to the Finance Cashier. CDs are available in the Procurement Office located on the 3rd Floor in City Hall with presentation of receipt from the Finance Cashier.
The City of Miami Beach Purchasing Division is proud to announce a new partnership with Public Purchase, a web based e-Procurement service. You may be prompted to fill out a W-9 for the City of Miami Beach records and for tax purposes. This form must be completed before you will be considered a vendor for the City of Miami Beach even if City of Miami Beach already has a W-9 from you on file. • If, for any reason, the link below fails, use the Public Purchase link in Step 1 and log in.
