Subject: Intent to Award Pursuant to Sole Source Exemption
This notice is released pursuant to Section 2-367 (d) of the Miami Beach City Code. The purpose of this notice is to notify interested parties that pursuant to Section 2-367 (d), of the Miami Beach City Code, intends to make a non-competitive award for the goods or services, as stated below.
Goods or services required:
The City of Miami Beach Fire Department requires the services of a vendor for the testing of its aerial devices, ground ladders and pumps by an accredited ISO 17020, and conducted in accordance with NFPA Standard 1911; Standard for the Inspection, Maintenance, Testing and Retirement of In-Service Automotive Fire Apparatus. Vendors must have field representatives certified as Level II NDT to ASNT CP-189.
Supplier to be awarded: UL Company
Reason for Sole Source: UL Company is the only vendor accredited and who meet both ISO and NFPA standards to perform above described services.
Estimated value of award: $9,000 annually.
