Summary of Specifications:
FOR THE PURPOSE OF CONDUCTING THE REQUIRED 40-YEAR BUILDING RECERTIFICATION AND SUBSEQUENT 10-YEAR BUILDING RECERTIFICATION, AS REQUIRED BY MIAMI-DADE COUNTY CODE
This Request for Qualifications is for the establishment of a firm and/or business entity that can provide inspection services to perform 40 year and 10 year building recertification of City owned facilities in accordance with the Florida Building Code and more specifically detailed in Florida State Statute 8-11 “Building Recertification”.
Sealed proposals will be received until 3:00 p.m. on August 20, 2012, at the following address:

Any proposal received after 3:00 p.m. on August 20, 2012, will be returned to the Proposer unopened and will not be considered. The responsibility for submitting proposals before the stated time and date is solely that of the Proposer. The City will not be responsible for delays caused by mail, courier service, or any other entity or occurrence.
A Pre-RFQ Submission Conference is scheduled for August 9, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. at the following address: City of Miami Beach City Hall City Manager’s Small Conference Room – Fourth Floor 1700 Convention Center Drive Miami Beach, Florida 33139
Attendance (in person or via telephone) to this Pre-Proposal Submission Meeting is encouraged and recommended as a source of information, but is not mandatory. Proposers interested in participating in the Pre-Proposal Submission Meeting via telephone must follow these steps:
