Summary of Specifications:
DESCRIPTION OF WORK: 1. Dredging within Deer Point Reservoir to deepen and shape the reservoir bottom for compatibility with the new facilities to be constructed. Storage and dewatering of dredged material using geotextile bags. 2. Prestressed concrete piling for the foundation support of the new intake and pump station structure. 3. Timber piles for the new process piping supports and air burst equipment support slab. 4. Sheet pile retaining wall for the permanent support of the reservoir bank. 5. Construction, using a temporary cofferdam of a cast-in-place concrete intake and pump station structure. 6. The intake and pump station structure will initally house two vertical turbine pumps. One of the pumps to be installed under this Contract will be new and will be Owner-furnished. One of the pumps is existing and is to be removed from its existing location under this Contract, (modified by the Owner outside of this Contract) and then relocated to its new position under this Contract. 7. Two water intake screens and an air burst system. 8. Process piping and valves to connect new pumping system and piping to existing transmission system piping manifold. 9. Installation of Electrical Powerhouse (Owner-furnished). Also Owner-furnished is VFD for new pump and associated swithgear. VFD and switchgear will be installed by Powerhouse supplier prior to shipment to the Project site. 10. Associated site grading and electrical improvements. 11. This Contract does not include field painting, which will be provided by the Owner outside of this Contract.
