Summary of Specifications:
Bay County, Florida is seeking Proposals from firms and individuals to conduct the 2014 marine turtle monitoring program on the Panama City Beaches. During marine turtle nesting season, the general work plan is to conduct the daily marine turtle nest surveying, protection, and monitoring; marine turtle nest relocation, including additional relocation during possible beach nourishment construction; and data collection and submission of reporting following the nesting season. Notably, firms or individuals must have, or be qualified to obtain, a marine turtle permit issued by Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission, pursuant to Florida Administrative Code 68E-1, Marine Turtle Permits required to perform certain aspects of the work on the Panama City Beaches. Services of the consultant shall be under the general direction of the Bay County Tourist Development Council, who shall act as the County representative during the performance of the scope of services.
