C.5.1.1 Work with the Contract Administrator (CA) to develop a minimum of four continuing education (CE) activities/courses for District approval within 12 months following award date. CE courses must be in a video or live format and posted on the DCRx website after completion. CE courses shall be free for DC Licensed Health Care Professionals. C.5.1.2 Provide educational activities that shall be based on clinical initiatives consistent with promoting change in practice behavior that improves the quality of care for patients. C.5.1.3 Provide educational content to promote change in practice behavior that improves the quality of care for patients. The results should demonstrate medication cost- effectiveness for District funded health care programs. C.5.1.4 Inform prescribers about pharmaceutical marketing practices that are intended to circumvent competition from generic medications, other therapeutically-equivalent alternatives, or other evidence-based treatment options. C.5.1.5 Assess the quality and effectiveness of the Center for Pharmaceutical Education Programs based on an assessment of data gathered from those who participated in the program. C.5.1.6 Assess and recommend opportunities for improvements and expansion of the Center and program content. C.5.1.7 Have a method to ensure that all courses are accredited by the Accreditation Council of Pharmacy Education (ACPE) and American Medical Association (AMA) Council on Medical Education. C.5.1.8 Maintain an electronic continuing education portal and website to host the DCRx courses. C.5.1.9 Allow health care practitioners to complete the continuing education course until the course expires or is not eligible for the health care professional to claim credit for course completion. If the contract is not renewed the contractor shall allow participants to complete courses and claim continuing education credits. C.5.1.10 Have DC Licensed Health Care Professionals on staff. C.5.1.11 Be able to create continuing education courses in live or video format. C.5.1.12 Have a team of at least three (3) personnel to work on projects.
