The Provider shall provide the following services to youth: a) Substance abuse assessment (GAIN I,) for all youth admitted to the program. b) Daily clinical services which include a range of cognitive, behavioral, and other therapies in individual or group therapy and psychoeducation as deemed appropriate by an assessment and treatment plan; c) Medical/dental care; The Provider shall cooperate with DYRS to meet the youth’s preventative, routine, and emergency health needs including the initial medical screen, comprehensive medical and dental examinations, routine medical and dental examinations, maintenance of required immunizations, vision and hearing examinations, and maintenance storage, supervision, and administration of prescription medications. Medical and health services shall at a minimum be delivered in compliance with the following: 1. Obtain emergency medical care through a local hospital; 2. Provide the hospital with the youth’s D.C. Medicaid Identification Number. Emergency medical services are billable to D.C. Medicaid. 3. Obtain pre-authorization through the youth’s DYRS case manager before obtaining non-emergency medical and dental treatment. 4. Obtain medical care through DC-certified Medicaid Providers for routine medical care, if the Medicaid providers are within 50 miles of the youth’s placement facility. 5. Submit pre-authorized non-emergency medical or dental visit treatment Providers’ invoices to DYRS for payment.
