Project Description: Amtrak, (Owner), is seeking a firm to provide Professional Engineer (PE) security design drawings that will serve as the basis of installation not limited to the following: In collaboration with Amtrak, the contractor will apply industry standards and best practices to provide Amtrak with detailed professional Engineer (PE) designs for security enhancements Video Surveillance systems (“VSS”), Access Control Systems (“ACS”), Lighting, Fencing/Gates, Bollards, and signage for Substation #9, 38th & Wyalusing, Philadelphia, PA. Based on these findings, the Contractor will develop a comprehensive 100% security design. The work activities will include, but are not limited to: Gaining a thorough understanding of the operational functionalities of the site for Amtrak and its partners. Designing security systems tailored to the site’s needs. Preparing schedule and cost estimates for the implementation of the security improvements. These estimates will account for all projects costs, including materials, construction, administration, in-house labor (Amtrak forces), and projected lifecycle costs related to ongoing maintenance. Participating in meetings with Amtrak Senior Program Manager, stakeholders, and any other agencies identified by Amtrak. Delivering presentation on each project deliverables to the designated Amtrak Senior Program Manager. Performing any additional or incidental tasks required.
