1. Retail Store Makeovers aim to expand the presence of DC Lottery brand(s) in licensed retail locations. DC Lottery retailers that receive a store makeover are provided, through the Contractor, with full service and support including, but not limited to, program consultation, product placement and retail sales strategies to maximize sales and increase revenue for the retailer and the DC Lottery. 2. The DC Lottery requires the Contractor to provide the following Retail Store Makeover services: 1) The Contractor shall implement a service delivery methodology grounded in established best practices from the lottery industry for retail store makeover programs. This requirement shall apply continuously to ensure all makeovers align with industry standards. 2) The Contractor shall research and propose materials for use in the retail store makeover program, subject to DC Lottery approval. The Contractor is fully responsible for researching and sourcing materials used, price, delivery lead time, and all other relevant aspects for the retail store makeover. DC Lottery will have final approval of items for purchase such as, but not limited to, internal, external and/or custom: signage, door and window decals, dispensers, posters, banners, promotional items, and winner awareness items. Once the material is approved by DC Lottery, the Contractor shall be responsible for ordering and storing material in a secure location. 3) DC Lottery assigns the Contractor retail stores to be made over. The Contractor shall consult with assigned retail store(s). The consultation shall include the following: a. Timeframe to perform a makeover for each store; b. Details on what each store makeover entails; c. Proposed materials to be used for each store makeover; and d. Proposed staff that will perform the makeover. 4) the DC Lottery shall approve the retail store makeover plan prior to implementation. 5) The Contractor shall work with DC Lottery to encourage proposed retailers to accept the retail store makeover provided by the DC Lottery prior to the store makeover. 6) The Contractor shall collaborate with DC Lottery-appointed sales representatives to educate retailers on the benefits of the makeover program and provide guidance on creating a more customer-friendly retail environment. The Contractor shall also conduct any necessary on-going training to the retailer or on-sight designee in order to increase sales. 7) The Contractor shall provide a team to work with retailers and DC Lottery sales reps to establish a schedule to perform the retail store makeover. The Contractor shall work on behalf of DC Lottery and perform the store makeover. 8) The DC Lottery will provide the Contractor with a site visit Check List Form (provided by DC Lottery) to be completed, and signed by the Contractor and retailer, for each retail store that receives a makeover. The Contractor shall take before-and-after pictures of each retail store that receives a makeover to use for audit purposes.
