Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project consists of upgrading customer seating for Amtrak passengers in the customer waiting area immediately adjacent to the Amtrak Ticket Office. New seating supports the Amtrak value of placing customers first while improving the value of amenities provided to our customers with consideration of their diversity and inclusivity The scope of work for this project consists of: I. Electrical – Reference image below. Contractor shall make evaluation and install power along the brick wall to accommodate outlets that will be built into new counter seating. Power requirements shall meet, at a minimum, Amtrak standards (reference Appendix A), but shall also meet all local and state, and industrial code compliance for safe operation. Sufficient number of GFCI rated outlets shall be installed to accommodate all power cords from new countertop fixtures. II. Existing Seating – Amtrak shall have right of first refusal for existing seating. Provided Amtrak refuses some or all existing seating, contractor shall remove, haul away off-site, and dispose appropriately all identified seats as determined by Amtrak on site. Contractor shall relocate any seating retained by Amtrak to a designated location within the campus by the Amtrak PM or its designate. Contractor shall coordinate with Amtrak to designate a temporary location for dumpster(s) or container prior to removal. Contractor shall take extraordinary care when removing seating to minimize damage to station walls, floors, doors, and other finishings. III. Counters and Counter Seating – Contractor shall source and deliver and install new countertop fixtures. Reference Appendix B for product basis of reference. Wall Counters – Length of counters shall be commensurate to the entire length of the wall in a continuous run but shall terminate at the start of the window frames on either side of the brick wall. Contractor may determine appropriate unit counter lengths to standardize quantity required. Depth of counters shall not exceed thirty (30) inches. Height of counters shall be thirty (30) inches above finished floor (AFF). Counters shall be white for all surface sides with trough and vertical panels to match as close to the below referenced color codes. Each counter shall have power outlets on top of table surface.
