provide high-impact tutoring (HIT) services for students in the District to accelerate their learning and improve student academic outcomes, with a focus on those who are furthest from opportunity. Contractors will partner with eligible schools to deliver HIT programs in English language arts (ELA) or math, during or adjacent to the school day, for at least twenty weeks of a school year and for at least twelve weeks for each individual student. HIT services shall target students who are performing below grade-level according to standardized assessments and who will benefit from an intensive, personalized, and supplementary intervention to help them access classroom instruction. Contractors will provide either ELA HIT programs for students in any grade from kindergarten through fifth or math HIT programs for students in any grades from kindergarten through twelfth depending on the needs of their partner schools. OSSE will facilitate matching contractors with eligible schools based on the school’s needs, goals and partnership preferences, and the contractors shall provide HIT to a minimum of 40 students at a single participating eligible school, and a maximum of 300 total students across all participating eligible schools.
