Specifications include, but are not limited to: • Provide crisis support to KIPP DC staff in the immediate aftermath of a tragedy (e.g., a student or staff member death). o Provide KIPP DC with a mechanism to report a crisis at any time of day. o Coordinate and communicate effectively with KIPP DC’s legal, human resources, academic, or mental health teams to determine crisis response plan. o Respond to KIPP DC requests for support within prompt and agreed-upon timeframe. o Crisis support sessions should be conducted by licensed clinical therapists with experience in grief and trauma. o Offer crisis response services following three tragic events, with an option to provide additional services if needed. o Crisis support could include group processing sessions and one-on-one sessions with affected staff members. Therapeutic services should be focused on trauma, grief and loss using an evidence-based practice model. o Vendor should have capacity to provide a total of 10 crisis processing sessions per tragic event. o Vendor should have the ability to offer in-person (at KIPP DC facilities) or virtual crisis response sessions, depending on community need and preferences. o Vendor should have the ability to provide employees with a confidential mechanism for signing up for one-on-one crisis response sessions. • Provide up to six months of short-term, individualized therapy to KIPP DC staff who are most directly affected by a tragedy. o Provide up to 3 staff members per event with short-term therapy to bridge the gap to longer-term therapy, with option to provide services to additional staff if needed. o Short-term therapy will occur every other week and may be conducted virtually or inperson. o Therapists may need to assist affect staff members with transition to longer-term care, if such is needed. o Preferably, vendor should have the ability to offer short-term therapy in the evenings and/or weekends, as well as during the workday. o Preferably, vendor should be able to opine as to whether the staff member is fit to return to their duties.
