.1 The AREC building is a locked facility. The selected Contractor and all employees must always adhere to building security procedures. The Contractor will communicate with the building manager(s) to schedule for the cleanings for the month. The cleaning typically occurs once a week on the same day, however, there are several weeks when cleaning will not be needed due to holidays. If the Contractor has a schedule conflict, they will inform the building manager(s) of this in advance and work to reschedule the cleaning around the scheduled programs. 4.2 The Contractor shall sweep floors in the general areas, classrooms, restrooms, office, and laboratory and vacuum floors in the discovery room and break/kitchen room during each appointment until September 30, 2026. 4.3 The Contractor shall mop the floors in the classrooms, restrooms, office, hallways, and general use/exhibit areas during each appointment until September 30, 2026. 4.4 The Contractor shall remove trash and recycling from two (2) classrooms, two (2) general use areas, one (1) office, one (1) laboratory, one (1) break room, (2) restrooms, and one (1) family discovery room during each appointment until September 30, 2026. 4.5 The contractor shall wipe down all reasonably accessible surfaces, including the tops of the aquarium, desks, office tables, door handles, restroom fixtures, windows, windowsills, blinds, and corners of rooms during each appointment until September 30, 2026. 4.6 Within fourteen (14) days of the award, the Contractor shall reach out to the building manager to develop the schedule for the first month to include projected dates and times of service. For each subsequent month, the Contractor and building manager will meet to develop a monthly schedule based on the AREC’s program schedule and cleaning needs.
