This Scope of Work (SOW) outlines the procurement of services for the IBM Maximo Software Accelerated Value Program (AVP). The AVP is designed to provide organizations with customized support and strategic guidance to optimize the operation and performance of IBM Maximo software which is WMATA’s Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) system. AVP provides additional technical value by delivering enhanced personal technical advice to WMATA. Maximo is a leading solution for managing a wide range of assets, including fleet and vehicles, inventory and spare parts, facilities and buildings, industrial equipment and machinery, IT assets, energy and utility assets, and public infrastructure. Maximo enables organizations to track and manage these assets from a variety of perspectives: maintenance, performance, location, compliance, costing, and lifecycle management. The system is flexible and can be customized to manage virtually any type of physical asset across industries like manufacturing, utilities, transportation, healthcare, and more. Our goal is to enhance operational efficiency and maximize the return on our investment in this critical software. Through this engagement, we aim to leverage IBM’s expertise and resources to ensure the continued success of Maximo and improve our asset management processes. AVP will mitigate risk, reduce outages, and optimize system performance in our vision to continually improve the integration of our operational and technical environments. AVP provides the opportunity to enhance technical skills and expedite issue-problem resolution. The AVP interlocks with IBM Software Subscription and Support to provide higher level support services needed to manage WMATA’s mission-critical, hybrid and complex system environments. WMATA will have a designated focal point for support needs, to assist in proactively identifying improvements for our environment, minimize production downtime, deploy faster, operate smoother, and plan for the future.
