C.1.1 The Contractor shall provide early intervention support and services at a frequency that matches the family’s and other caregivers’ need for support in using intervention strategies. The Contractor shall ensure that there is an active collaboration between parents and service providers. Family members, teachers, or other caregivers must be involved in each session, as the early interventionist’s primary function is to provide services and support using the coaching interaction style. C.1.2 The Contractor shall ensure that all employed or contracted early interventionists agree to provide services in a manner consistent with NLEP, best practices for early intervention services and DC EIP trainings. This includes but is not limited to observing, meeting with and providing additional training to early interventionists who demonstrate non-compliance with the aforementioned models. C.1.3 The Contractor shall provide early intervention services in accordance with the child’s IFSP, in the child’s natural environments (i.e., where the child would be if he or she did not have a developmental delay) and embed services into the child and family’s daily activities and routines, as mandated by IDEA Part C.
