Remove black metal railings at lower step and reuse them, prime, top coat and re-install a 1-1/2" welded steel pipe railing. REMOVE BOTTOM RAILINGS DURING DEMO OF CONCRETE, RE-INSTALL RAILINGS. Install beaded tongue and groove ceiling boards, blind nailed to joists with hot dipped galvanized fasteners. Prime boards on all sides prior to installation with a low VOC primer. INSTALL TONGUE AND GROOVE CEILING BOARDS, INCLUDING TRIM MOULDING AGAINST HOUSE BRICK. SECURE RIM JOIST AGAINST HOUSE WITH BOLTS INTO BRICK FRONT. SECURE SIDE JOIST WITH BRACKETS AND MORTAR THAT PENETRATE BRICK FRONT. Install a 1"x 12", #2 pine fascia, using bevel cut joints that meet at rafter tails, fasten with galvanized finish nails.
