Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) is seeking the services of a Design-Builder to implement water leak remediation and rehabilitation of structural, electrical, mechanical infrastructure of Six fan shafts in order to achieve dry conditions in underground structures and upgrade the infrastructure with current codes and standards. Work consists of the following items will be stated in the forthcoming Request for Qualifications (RFQ) Contract Documents and Drawings: Reducing water infiltration to below the accepted criteria by grouting and other methods, repair/replace structural stairs, ladders, hatched, bollards, handrails, guardrails, doors, signage, electrical conduits, cables, lighting fixtures, concrete spalling, concrete joint failures, drainage pipes and scuppers, upgrade fan control system and provide fiber optic communications cable from adjacent stations comms room to fan shaft IT switches.
