C.5.2.1 The Contractor shall collect samples using the kits provided by the Wastewater-Based Epidemiology Laboratory Vendor (WBELV). C.5.2.2 The Contractor shall report sample metadata, for each site, through the QR-code associated with the provided sample collection kit. If a QR code is not present on the collection kit, the Contractor shall record this metadata electronically and report it to the WBELV and DC Health at the end of the collection day. C.5.2.3 The Contractor shall request additional sample collection kits from DC Health and the WBELV to ensure that there is no break in service. C.5.2.4 The Contractor shall maintain all samples at 4°C using ice packs, coolers, and refrigerators. C.5.2.5 The Contractor must ship all samples to the WBELV, on the day of collection, using the prepaid shipping labels provided with each collection kit. Samples must be shipped with ice packs to keep the samples at 4°C. C.5.2.6 The Contractor shall build and deploy passive samplers in accordance with the latest guidance from DC Health, NWSS, and the WBELV for sites requiring passive sampling techniques. C.5.2.7 The Contractor shall procure all materials needed to construct the passive samplers independently. C.5.2.8 The Contractor shall deploy enough passive samplers at each site to ensure that the WBELV’s minimum sample volumes are met. C.5.2.9 The Contractor shall mark which samples were collected via passive samplers and communicate this to DC Health and the WBELV.
