The Department of Corrections is seeking a contractor to renovate an existing safe cell within the Inmate Reception Center (IRC) at Central Detention Facility (CDF). The contractor shall provide demolition, plywood, padding, painting, and floor repair that meets the previously described goal/scope, while also meeting the minimum requirements for providing staff that meets requirements to enter and work within the jail environment; The Department of Corrections requires a safe cell to operate safely and securely. The current state of the safe cell is such that it cannot be used to support the mission. The following improvements are needed: REQUIREMENTS • Walk-Thru Available • Safety cell dimensions are approximately: 8’-5"(w) x 7’-6" (l) x 8’-7" (h). • Only entities that are able to secure GOLD MEDAL Safety padding will be considered for this project • Furnish, deliver and install the Gold Medal Safety padding to one (1) room at the CDF’s IRC. • Temporary floor protection against any damage while work is in progress • Demolish and remove existing padding • Repair/Replace underlying plywood as necessary • Install Gold Medal Safety Padding in the interior side of the room door and door frame
