Specifications include, but are not limited to: The District of Columbia Hazard Vulnerability Assessment is an all-hazard comprehensive planning initiative having the potential for involving the public and private sectors. The project will utilize several hazard analysis methods to reassess natural and manmade threats and their impacts on the District of Columbia. The project will involve an examination of the 18 hazards identification of emerging threats and their impacts utilization of modeling systems (i.e., HAZUS-MH) and for the first time examine the community specific hazards in support of the Community Emergency Management Plans. The District officials are capable of compiling hazard data. However, additional expertise is required to conduct comparative analysis of the hazards. The District must regularly conduct hazard analyses to support ongoing planning and risk-based grant investments
