Specifications include, but are not limited to: The Department anticipates awarding a design-build contract to the Offeror whose Proposal is most advantageous to the District pursuant to the evaluation and award criteria in Part 3 for all Project work, including design and construction services required for a fully modernized facility. District of Columbia Public Schools (“DCPS”) intends to increase the capacity of the Deal Middle School by ten (10) classrooms and their support spaces. The anticipated program will construct an addition of twenty-three thousand one hundred (23,100) square feet. The Project work also includes a new, fully-functional, well-draining artificial turf field in accordance with the goals set forth by the Interagency Working Group on Artificial Turf and Playgrounds, which is comprised of representatives from DGS, DCPS, Department of Parks and Recreation (“DPR”), Department of Energy and Environment (“DOEE”), Office of Disability Rights (“ODR”), Office of the City Administrator (“OCA”), and Office of the Deputy Mayor of Education (“DME”). This will include at the minimum Gmax Testing at the field.
