The contractor shall do the following in connection with the prosecution of DCHA's (or a DCHA Affiliate) Landlord/Tenant cases, as well as provide advice related to applicable District and HUD law and regulations. 2.1.1 Prepare and maintain a file for each case. The file should include copies of all pleadings, attachments, court orders, notices and exhibits thereto, filed with the court, including any and all correspondence related thereto, and a report of all activities conducted in the case. 2.1.2 Prepare a "Summons and Complaint" and complete and file affidavits of service with the court, upon receipt of properly served thirty-day notices. 2.1.3 Effectuate personal service in those cases identified by the Office of the General Counsel to seek possession of the unit and money judgments for monies owed to DCHA. 2.1.4 Represent and defend DCHA at the Superior Court return-date court proceeding. 2.l.5 File motions with Superior Court and the District of Columbia Court of Appeals ("Court of Appeals"), as needed and requested, by the Office of General Counsel. 2.l.6 Represent and defend DCHA at all hearings in Superior Court and, if requested, before the District of Columbia Court of Appeals on all Landlord/Tenant matters. 2.1.7 Represent and Defend DCHA in Landlord/Tenant matters before the Superior Court and the Court of Appeals. Represent and defend DCHA in conjunction with DCHA attorneys or outside counsel; either as the lead attorney or co-counsel to an approved outside counsel hired by the Office of General Counsel. 2.1.8 Upon request of the General Counsel, represent and defend DCHA in select administrative hearings, including informal conferences, informal reviews, and grievance hearings and informal hearings in DCHA’s Office of Fair Hearings. 2.1.9 Upon request of the General Counsel, represent and defend DCHA in select administrative hearings before the District of Columbia Office of Administrative Hearings. 2.l.10 Prepare and file all court pleadings and forms required by Superior Court or the Court of Appeals at General Counsel's request. 2.l.11 Prepare and file required documents in connection with properties where the remaining household member has passed (“Deceased Tenant Matters”) and provide counsel and advice to the Property Management Operations (“PMO”) staff on such Deceased Tenant Matters. 2.l.12 Draft and prosecute "Fight Back" (evictions for criminal activity) cases and coordinate with the District of Columbia Metropolitan Police Department ("MPD") to ensure the court appearance of MPD officers and coordinate with DCHA's Office of Public Safety to ensure the court appearance of DCHA's police officers. 2.1.13 File Writs of Restitution after Judgment. 2.1.14 File Redemption Forms prepared and executed by the appropriate official of DCHA
