MTPD is looking for a solution to manage the day-to-day engagement of visitors accessing WMATA’s administrative facilities. The solution will provide MTPD with the ability to manage visitors through a self-contained mobile unit (iPad or the like) or kiosk system. This system will allow traceability, tracking of guests to associates, incoming and outgoing time, frequency of visits, capturing identification, photographs, and data retrieval for historical traceability. This VMS will be the visitor system for all WMATA administrative site locations. It is an essential need for the safety and security of WMATA offices and protection of all staff. WMATA has three administrative facilities that all currently have a VMS for visitors to use. A VMS maintenance agreement is required for support and any system upgrades. This agreement shall support hardware and software installation in association with all upgrades. WMATA is seeking a holistic solution that will include all required hardware and software: - iPad-like device or kiosk system; - App for VMS; - Printer to print badges; and - Cellular service for syncing information to active directory/cloud service.
