7.2 Project Description Conduct outreach and prevention activities targeting lead poisoning in high-risk geographic areas, including routine testing and follow-up for patients. This project will help increase testing in specific populations more frequently and increase lead testing trends. 7.3 Project Outcomes, Outputs, and Deliverables Project Outcomes 1. Improve DC communities' ability to detect lead sources, identify risks, and provide appropriate and timely interventions 2. Increase awareness and education on lead exposure sources and best practices for testing 3. Enhance blood lead screening and prevention activities Project Outputs 1. Provide a demonstrable increase in the number of preventative blood lead screenings 2. Conduct 2 outreach events and/or workshops with the community with a goal of reaching 100 residents per event 3. Provide input to the Lead Poisoning Prevention and Healthy Homes Advisory Committee
