1. Initial Ground School
o A minimum of 24 hours of factory approved/authorized training covering aircraft systems description
and operation, operational characteristics, operating limitations, and performance planning.
o Training location shall also include life size mock ups of a Bell 429 which provides visual and hands
on description and explanation of aircraft components and parts.
2. Initial Flight Training
o A minimum of 6 hours of factory approved/authorized flight training which provides the instruction in
normal and emergency procedures. Emergency procedures training shall include hydraulics-off
landings, power recovery autorotations, anti-torque system failures, single engine operations, and
