Specifications include, but are not limited to: Delaware seeks to accelerate the work of ensuring leaders are “first-day ready” and continue to look for existing and new leader preparation programs that have/will create scalable approaches to world class leader preparation. To accomplish this, the Department is conducting a search, through this RFP, for established vendors that have a proven track record in the recruitment, selection, pre-service preparation, placement and ongoing development of leaders who are committed to Delaware’s mission/vision of a world class education system for all children. DDOE seeks a vendor(s)/partner(s) to provide a comprehensive alternative route to certification program for an annual cohort of aspiring school leaders. DDOE reserves the right to award multiple contracts. Annual cohort size shall be between 10- 50 depending on the program and based upon the needs of the state’s schools and districts. The targetareas for programs could include assistant principal/principal, central office personnel, special education director, and/or assistant superintendent/superintendent. DDOE seeks a vendor(s)/partner(s) that creates innovative and results-driven approaches to educational leadership training, designed to ensure that PK-12 educational leaders have access to high-quality programs that prepare them well for the increasing expectations of leadership in elementary and secondary education.
