Specifications include, but are not limited to: DSAMH is seeking applications from qualified sectors that align and support the state’s Draft Prevention Strategy for Behavioral Health. Recognizing the complex interplay between mental health and substance use, as well as the intricate balance between reducing risk and building protective factors, strategies must include a range of complementary and comprehensive evidence-based approaches. Efforts should include systems-level interventions that reduce and mitigate the risks of negative environmental exposures or experiences, which occur across all communities and affect all ages and settings where citizens live, learn, work, and access healthcare. Systems practices, such as having a prepared workforce and support system for individuals, can create more connected and resilient communities.
