Specifications include, but are not limited to: Delaware Department of Education is seeking vendors to provide any of the services identified below. If awarded vendors will be approved to contract with Delaware Department of Education to provide approved services to middle and high schools throughout the state as part of the state's development of a college and career advisory system to support students in key transitions from middle to high school, 9th to 12th grade, and 12th grade to post-secondary. Applications should identify the specific set of services the vendor is seeking to provide. 1. Professional services agency that can recruit, hire and manage up to 20 contractors associated with a college and career readiness grant o Must be able to manage contract payment o Maintain all necessary paperwork to keep contracts up to date o Monitor time sheets and requested time off o Monitor and reimburse for mileage and travel o Provide access to satellite meeting space for contractor meetings o Provide access to shared office space for up to 2 contractors for duration of the contract (including access to internet, printing, telephone, desk/chair) 2. Provide services including student workshops and trainings on financial awareness related to career exploration; workshops should: o Introduce students to career pathways and related salary potential o Engage students in interactive activities that help students connect college and career o Target 6th-10th grade students and be developmentally appropriate o Capacity to host workshops on school site for up to 30 middle and high schools statewide 3. Provide peer to peer mentoring for special populations of students including students of color, first generation college-going, students with disabilities and/or English learners; services should include: o Advising related to college and career planning o Coaching in navigating the post-secondary education system o Relevant, personalized experiences to support and encourage students in the college and career planning process 4. Provide academic tutoring for students grades 7-11 to increase proficiency on state assessments and readiness for college entrance exams o Individualized tutoring services for students during or after school across 30 middle and high schools state-wide o Target math and literacy skills for students below proficiency o Partner with classroom teachers and principals to align supports to classroom instruction o Provide instruction aligned to Delaware college and career readiness standards
