The work includes concrete, structural steel, micro-pile foundations, metal roof deck, premanufactured FRP panels and stairs, handrails and guardrails, metal windows, flashing, light fixtures, conduit, wiring, electrical switch gear and panels, and station signage. Site work associated with this facility consists of excavation and grading work to accommodate the new platforms; removal and disposal of existing pavement, platforms, canopies, and waiting shelters; installation of gas and electrical service; relocation of drainage structures; installation of new pavement, pavement markings, and site signage. The project includes the historic rehabilitation of the Derby Station Building including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, and fire protection upgrades. The exterior envelope of the building will be repaired and restored including historic finishes, masonry repointing, roofing, and structural repairs. The interior will be restored including finishes, flooring, millwork, restrooms, break areas, vendor space, and waiting areas.
