Tree Removal - shall consist of the complete removal of designated tree to a maximum of four inches (4") above ground level, and the removal of all portions or remnants of the tree from County and abutting private property(s). On a site-by-site basis, the New Castle County representative may permit the Vendor to leave and disperse wood and or chips on site. Any debris allowed to remain on site must be dispersed not mounded and may not interfere with waterways and or drainage swales. Any material allowed to remain on site must be approved and described in the work order. Tree trimming - Trees are to be trimmed at various locations within New Castle County. Work will be specified by the Property Maintenance Section and Forestry Section of New Castle County. The work will consist of removing dead, diseased, stubs, or any dangerous leader in specified trees. In addition, other types of tree maintenance involving various methods of pruning that conform to standards set by New Castle County and The American National Standard for Tree Care Operations (ANSI – A300). All wood will be either chipped or removed from each site unless otherwise stated in the work order. Vendor shall quote hourly rate for tree trimming, which shall include all labor, materials, equipment, and any other costs incurred by the vendor for tree trimming services. Prices will be agreed upon prior to any work beginning. Fallen or storm damaged tree removal and/or tree trimming shall be paid for at the quoted removal price for each work order, payment shall constitute full compensation for labor, equipment, tools, insurance, site restoration, etc., to complete the item. All quotes shall be itemized for labor on an hourly basis as well as charges for equipment.
