This work is detailed in the Manganese Removal Systems for Drinking Water Request for Proposal, Proposal No.: 26-0003WW. The work is a design-build, including the design and construction of a manganese removal system for five (5) of the Owner’s deep wells located in the Cheswold aquifer. The work includes design and installation of the manganese removal system, associated piping, valves, meters, appurtenances, excavation and backfill if necessary, testing, startup and commissioning, training and site restoration. The work also includes any necessary upgrades to electrical power distribution, lighting and instrumentation and coordination with City of Dover operations staff. Obtain all necessary agency approvals, which could include, but is not limited to, Office of Drinking Water, Kent Conservation District, Kent County Sewer, City of Dover Electric Department and City of Dover Planning & Inspections. The five (5) locations will be completed one (1) per year, over the next five (5) years, per the schedule located on the Proposal Form. Information on each well site is included in Appendix A.
