Specifications include, but are not limited to: A. SPECIFICATIONS FOR BURIAL OF INDIGENT PERSONS1. Remains to be transported to Funeral Home from location given by Delaware Division of Forensic Science.2. The body must be embalmed (externally embalmed is acceptable) and wrapped with a plastic sheet. Contractor may clothe indigent at their expense.3. Opening and closing of grave. Provide and install concrete grave marker. 4. Provisions of pine box and concrete vault.5. Transportation of remains to cemetery. Cemetery may be at any of the following locations: on grounds of Herman Holloway Campus or Veteran’s Cemetery in New Castle County; on grounds of Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, Smyrna, DE for Kent County; on grounds of Veteran’s Cemetery or Stockley Center, Georgetown, DE for Sussex County; Pre-purchased private plot within the State of Delaware. Burial of indigents will be held in the county where the deceased is located at time of death. 6. Contractor agrees to bury indigent within ten (10) working days of receiving referral.7. Removal of excess dirt from excavation of grave site (New Castle County only).B. SPECIFICATIONS FOR CREMATION & BURIAL OF INDIGENT PERSONS1. Remains to be transported to Funeral Home from location given by Delaware Division of Forensic Science.2. Ensure all legal documentation required by the State of Delaware is completed and any documentation requiring cremation approval by legal next of kin is signed. 3. Contractor agrees to cremate and bury within thirty (30) days of receiving referral.4. Provisions of urn and concrete vault5. Opening and closing of grave. Provide and install concrete grave marker. 6. Transportation of remains to cemetery. Cemetery may be at any of the following locations: on grounds of Herman Holloway Campus or Veteran’s Cemetery in New Castle County; on grounds of Delaware Hospital for the Chronically Ill, Smyrna, DE for Kent County; on grounds of Veteran’s Cemetery or Stockley Center, Georgetown, DE for Sussex County; Pre-purchased private plot within the State of Delaware.
