Specifications include, but are not limited to: The In-school Alternative Program is a proactive behavior intervention program for chronically disruptive students and students who are assigned as a result of a violation of the Christina School District Student Manual. This short term program is housed in our secondary schools i.e. four (4) middle schools. Students entering the program have staggered entry and completion dates based on staff recommendation and/or date of Student Manual offense. The direct services required by the scope of this RFP, will manifest themselves through the following required programs: Academic Support- gather work from teachers and support students in completing assignments, getting building assistance when required, and ensuring that completed assignments get returned to the assigning teacher Character Education (including, but not limited to, teaching respect, responsibility, fairness, kindness, honesty, tolerance, conflict resolution, and forgiveness) Behavior Modification (including, but not limited to, using communication, feedback, positive reinforcement, proximity) Teaching Replacement Behaviors, as well as modeling the behaviors we wish to see in our students Play an active role in helping to developing Caring Relationships within the School Community Data Collection (related to direct services provided to student as defined by the district) Collaboration with the district to provide the highest quality of services to the students in the program. Provide each school with a trained staff member to monitor/facilitate the ISA program with fidelity Staff must have the knowledge, skills, and training to work with students who exhibit behavior concerns and be able to provide references pertaining to this fact.
