Specifications include, but are not limited to: Establish and maintain audit files to comply with federal, state, and local special education regulations.Interpret and communicate federal and state IDEA 2004 regulations to staff, parents, & students. Schedule and conduct eligibility & IEP meetings according to district protocol.Work collaboratively with IEP team members in the development of Individualized Education Plans for students with disabilities.Coordinate & communicate with related services personnel (OT, PT, SLT, Transportation and Specialized Transportation, Assistive Tech) for students with disabilities.Share knowledge with building staff as it relates to special education services for students. (new statewide IEP, Inclusive schools initiative, accommodations/modifications, etc.)Assist building staff to ensure students with disabilities are provided the core curriculum, and scientifically research-based interventions.Assist building teachers with instructional differentiation strategies, intervention strategies, and accommodations, modifications, and supports for students.Provide support to regular education and special education teachers to ensure that students are provided scientific, research based interventions and curriculum based assessments and data collection and analysis.Communicate & provide assistance with district initiatives: Inclusive practices, RtI, and the new statewide IEP. Provide Tier 2 or Tier 3 interventions to groups of students as directed by building administrator.Serve as an integral member of the Instructional Support/Consultative Team and/or PBS Core or Targeted Team.Collaborate with school psychologist to review referrals for students receiving Tier 3 interventions.Participate in building/district professional development as it relates to curriculum & instruction within the core content areas of ELA & Math
