Specifications include, but are not limited to: Position title: Risk Watch State CoordinatorPRIMARY FUNCTIONThe position will be responsible for implementation of the Risk Watch childhood injuryprevention program in Delaware schools.Responsible for participation in departmental programs for Quality Assessment andImprovement, identifying opportunities to improve service, making recommendations andimplementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of Risk Watch programs. Thisposition will perform other varied duties as appropriate to the skills and education of theindividual selected (Administrative, Clinical, etc.)ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES1.Leads the implementation of Risk Watch in Delaware schools working in a partnershipclosely with other agencies focusing on reducing unintentional injuries in children.2.Based in the Dover office of the Delaware State Fire School, but flexible to travel asassigned by supervisor.3.Flexibility to travel to schools delivering curriculum needs in a timely manner.4.Ability to develop and present training workshops to educate teachers on how to utilizethe program within their classroom setting and willing to offer assistance and guidancebeyond the initial training workshop.5.Willingness to assist other injury prevention agencies with their programs as needed.6.Coordinate safety events in each county collaborating with other agencies.7.Responsible for participation in departmental programs for quality assessment andimprovement, identifying opportunities to improve services, making recommendationsand implementing actions as appropriate and consistent with the goals of the RiskWatch program.8.Observes Delaware State Fire School guidelines for Travel, Dues/License, CheckRequests, and Expense reports. Accurately prepares and processes forms.9.Willingly performs other duties as necessary
