Specifications include, but are not limited to: This project is for the reconstruction of a 1.9 mile section of Todd Road between Woodtick Road and the intersection with Meriden Road (Rte. 322). It includes milling of the entire road (varying depths) to allow for the reclamation of the top 10” of asphalt and sub base, and resurfacing with two, 2” courses of Class 1 bituminous concrete. Two vertical curves did not meet the DOT standard for a design speed of 35 mph and will be flattened. To meet “line of sight” standards some grading will be required at the intersections at Woodcrest and a retaining wall installed at the Tame Brook intersection. At other intersections clearing of trees and brush and lowering of some rock walls will allow adequate line of sight.
