A. The site is an occupied school. The re-roofing project involves approximately 31,500 square feet of exterior roofing materials and approximately 60 linear feet of remnant asbestos-containing flashing material (including contaminated substrates/adjacent materials) that will be impacted by the work. B. The base bid includes the removal and disposal of all asbestos containing materials as identified herein, and on the architect’s drawings by workers meeting requirements of OSHA 1926.1101 for Class 1 and 2 work. The base bid will include the cost for removal and disposal of asbestoscontaining flashing material and adjacent contaminated materials and substrates that will be affected by re-roofing activities. Work includes filing and permitting all necessary applications, notifications, requirements and fees; insurance; necessary design services; providing skilled, licensed and certified labor; materials; and equipment necessary for proper preparation, handling, removal and legal disposal of all asbestos-containing materials and asbestos contaminated waste from the subject building in accordance with all requirements of applicable Federal, State and local regulations, these specifications and the contract drawings. The following materials and amounts are included in the base bid work.
